os.energy raises €1M for AI-powered household tools
Copenhagen-based os.energy secured €1 million in pre-seed funding from PSV Tech to develop AI-driven energy-management tools for Danish households. The capital will support the launch of its consumer brand Osmund and the expansion of its smart-control services for EVs, heat pumps and home batteries.

Copenhagen-based os.energy raised €1 million in a pre-seed round led by PSV Tech. The funding will help the company build AI-driven tools that let households manage electricity use.
Launch and Funding
Os.energy, founded by Niklas Allamand Dib and Maziar Zamani, unveiled its consumer brand Osmund after a year in stealth. The startup operates as a licensed electricity retailer and uses AI to automate market, billing and customer-service processes. The €1 million investment from Danish early-stage investor PSV Tech will fund the development of Osmund’s energy platform and new services that target household consumption.
Business Model
Osmund offers two core products. The flagship Osmund Åben, or “Open”, charges customers exactly the cost price of electricity, with no margin on consumption. An optional app, priced at DKK 13 per month, provides visual explanations of bills and usage. The second product, Osmund Rolig, or “Calm”, delivers spot-price electricity through a single flat monthly subscription that includes the app. The company’s revenue comes from the subscription and the optional app, not from a per-kWh margin.
The founders argue that most consumers are unaware of the true cost of power and that the opacity of the industry can mask retailer margins. “We break with the opacity and with a business logic that extracts value from meter readings,” said Dib, co-founder and CEO.
AI-Native Platform
Underneath Osmund lies os.energy’s AI-native platform, which integrates market data, settlement, billing and customer-service into a single automated system. According to Zamani, the CTO, AI allows the company to operate with a small team while delivering a superior digital experience. The platform, as shown in our stats, processes quarter-hourly spot prices, weather data and high-resolution smart-meter readings to provide real-time insights.
The startup’s architecture enables it to run at low cost and pass savings to customers. “We don’t earn a single øre on consumption,” said Dib. “Our income comes from flat subscriptions and an app that helps customers understand and reduce usage.”
Future Services
Os.energy plans to expand its value proposition through New Energy services that manage flexible household consumption. The company is already experimenting with intelligent control of electric-vehicle charging, heat pumps and home batteries, automatically shifting usage to periods when power is cheapest and greenest. An upcoming product, Osmund Balance, aims to make flexible consumption accessible to every Danish household.
The founders believe that the green transition will hinge on consumer flexibility. “The grid’s most fundamental task is keeping production and consumption in balance,” said Zamani. “If Denmark is to reach its climate targets, flexibility must come from the consumption side.”
The team, detailed in the squad page, includes Dib, former founder of Bodil.energy, and Zamani, former CTO of Rokoko. Their combined experience in climate-focused consulting, robotics and motion-capture technology informs os.energy’s approach to building a future-proof energy retailer.
The company’s next steps involve scaling its AI platform, launching Osmund Balance and deepening its integration with home energy hardware. The €1 million pre-seed round marks the first stage of a broader strategy to democratise transparent, cost-effective electricity for Danish households.
