Pharosyn Raises €2.5 Million for Pharma Intelligence AI
London AI startup Pharosyn has secured €2.5 million in funding led by Moonfire. The company's platform provides competitive intelligence for pharmaceutical commercial and portfolio strategy teams.

London-based AI startup Pharosyn has raised €2.5 million in funding. The AI infrastructure company will use the capital to expand its platform for pharmaceutical commercial decision-making.
The investment round was led by venture capital firm Moonfire. It also included participation from Entrepreneurs First, Transpose Platform, and General Advance.
Founders and Founding Vision
Pharosyn was founded in 2025 by Stephen Cowley and Joshua Hampson. The co-founders combine backgrounds from Cambridge University in AI research and biochemistry. The team also includes engineers with experience in financial forecasting AI and enterprise productivity, as well as decades of senior executive consulting experience in pharmaceutical strategy from firms like Citeline.
The company is built on two core convictions. It believes pharmaceutical companies require custom AI infrastructure to maintain a competitive edge. It also contends that embedding this infrastructure directly within pharma teams leads to better commercial decisions.
The Platform and Its Applications
The AI-powered platform is designed as a competitive intelligence tool for the biopharma sector. It continuously monitors clinical, regulatory, and commercial data sources. From this data, it generates strategic reports tailored to a specific organization's drug pipeline.
Pharosyn aims to improve the depth of insight, breadth of analysis, and operational speed for its clients. The goal is to help companies make more informed decisions about where to allocate critical resources. The infrastructure can be deployed across several key business functions.
Market Context and Investor Confidence
The €2.5 million funding is part of a wider trend of investment in AI and data infrastructure for the pharma and biotech sector in 2026. Approximately €75.3 million has been invested across seven comparable or adjacent rounds this year.
Notable examples include London-based Sable Bio, which raised €3.15 million for AI-powered drug-safety intelligence. Another London firm, Helical, secured €8.4 million for its virtual AI lab designed for pharmaceutical research and development.
Mattias Ljungman, founder of lead investor Moonfire, expressed strong confidence in the founding team. “Pharosyn’s founders are deeply technical, exceptionally tenacious and ambitious, and determined to be best-in-class globally,” Ljungman said. He described them as rare founders who clearly stand out.
Current Traction and Future Development
Senior directors at several top-10 pharmaceutical companies are already using the Pharosyn platform to inform strategic decisions. The company reports that its technology is currently deployed within these major organizations.
Co-founder Joshua Hampson acknowledged the rapid pace of development in a public statement. He reflected on the iterative nature of building in a fast-moving tech field. “Today, I am pretty proud of our product but the scope for improvement is huge,” Hampson said. He expects to look back on the current product in six months and feel it has been significantly surpassed.
