BiMA, founded in 2024, combines digital content with a projector that turns stories into immersive experiences. The device offers a screen-free alternative to conventional entertainment while still using technology to support imagination and learning. BOOKR Kids, founded in Budapest in 2015, creates interactive digital books that improve literacy and reading comprehension. Its BOOKR Class platform merges curriculum-based books with narration, activities and teaching tools. In August, the company raised €6.1 million in Series A to expand internationally and develop new assessment and teacher-support products. BOOKR Next will extend the platform to students aged 10 to 18. EDURINO, also based in Munich, introduces young children to digital learning through a combination of physical toys and an app. Targeted at ages four to eight, the system pairs figurines and a stylus with games and interactive activities, allowing parents to monitor progress and set screen-time limits.

AI-Powered Tutoring and Professional Training

BrainBite, founded in Den Bosch in 2023 by Damian Ashworth and Sayed Shahidi, offers an AI-powered tutoring platform for children six and older. The system uses conversational AI to provide personalised one-to-one support across primary and secondary subjects, adapting explanations, exercises and pacing to each learner. Edumentors, a London-based company launched in 2022, connects school students with tutors from leading universities. The platform provides personalised academic support and exam preparation, and it is expanding its use of AI to support learning, assessment and study. Gility, founded in Milan in 2022, delivers a digital learning platform for companies and professional education providers. It works with business schools, training institutions and employers to deliver and manage digital programmes, combining content with tools for organising training, monitoring participation and supporting workforce development. Praktiki, also London-based and founded in 2024 by Matt Eisenstadt and Rajesh Roy, applies EdTech to professional medical education. The startup captures specialist expertise and turns it into case-based micro-learning modules and AI-supported clinical guidance, addressing the gap between guidelines and real-world application.

Live Instruction and Specialized Tools

JetLearn, based in Amsterdam and founded in 2021, offers live online classes in coding, artificial intelligence and robotics for K-12 students. The curriculum covers coding and robotics and adapts to each learner’s pace, availability and abilities, with instructors and specialists introducing emerging technologies early. LEXIMORE, founded in Milan in 2025 by Eleonora Beccaluva, Mathyas Giudici and Yu Hu, develops physical and digital tools at the intersection of education, speech therapy and assistive technology. Its products combine science with play, providing teachers and specialists interactive ways to support children who need additional help with communication and learning. Redmenta, founded in Budapest in 2020, creates an AI-powered platform that helps teachers generate learning materials, assignments and assessments while tracking student progress. The platform reduces preparation time and incorporates skills such as problem-solving, creativity, analytical thinking and communication into learning activities. Teachers can view real-time engagement metrics, similar to how coaches monitor player performance in standings, and can also access detailed learning statistics in stats.
