Bilt.me Raises $700K Pre-Seed to Expand AI App Builder
Estonian AI app-building platform Bilt.me has raised $700,000 in pre-seed funding after doubling revenue for three consecutive months.

Bilt.me, an Estonian AI app-building platform founded in August 2025 by Uku Joost Annus, Kevin Akkermann and Karl Kiilaspää, has raised $700,000 in pre-seed funding. The company has doubled its revenue month over month for three consecutive months. The funding round was led by Superhero Capital and included backing from Markus Villig, founder of Bolt, and Martin Sokk, founder of Lightyear.
Product and Vision
Bilt.me is developing an AI agent that guides users from an initial idea to a live native iOS and Android application, publishable to the Apple App Store and Google Play. The founders believe mobile app development remains unnecessarily complex despite advances in generative AI and no-code tools. They see an opportunity to reduce these technical barriers.
The platform positions itself as the 'Shopify of mobile apps' by providing an integrated ecosystem. This eliminates the need to assemble multiple third-party services before launching. Bilt.me has developed three complementary products: Bilt Payments, Bilt Cloud, and its own sharing layer called Bilt Link. These provide payment processing, cloud infrastructure, and app-sharing capabilities within a single platform.
Uku Joost Annus said: "Our bet is that apps, not websites, are where the next generation of businesses gets built."
Traction and Use Cases
The platform has surpassed $100,000 in annual recurring revenue. Thousands of people are using it to build applications. Paying apps built on Bilt.me are already live on the major app stores.
Approximately 75% of the applications built on the platform are consumer-facing. The remaining 25% are private or in-house tools for businesses.
Founders’ Perspective
The three founders, all in their early 20s, argue that Europe's strength lies in the application layer of AI. Annus pointed to Europe's lagging position in areas like semiconductors and frontier AI models. He stated that Europe remains world-class in turning AI into products real people use and pay for. That layer, he argues, runs on builders.
"Everyone told us the magic was in San Francisco," Annus said. The team visited and returned more convinced than ever that the builders are already in Europe. They see users turning unique knowledge into businesses rapidly through their platform.
Origins and Team
Bilt.me originated as a hackathon project focused on overcoming Apple's app-testing restrictions. It later evolved into its current form. The founding team won the inaugural cohort of ruum, a hacker space in Tallinn. The company now operates with a team of six engineers who follow a rapid development approach. They publicly demonstrate the application development process through Twitch livestreams.
The company emerges from Estonia's robust startup ecosystem, known for companies like Skype, Wise, Bolt, and Pipedrive. Lead investor Superhero Capital is joined by Villig and Sokk, who bring experience in scaling consumer technology platforms internationally. Villig identified technical barriers in building applications as a significant obstacle for aspiring entrepreneurs.
Bilt.me will use the new capital to support its global expansion and further develop its application-building capabilities.
