LearnUpon has secured a €44.5 million ($50 million) growth financing facility from Claret Capital Partners. The Dublin-based enterprise learning platform will use the non-dilutive capital to accelerate product development, expand internationally, and pursue strategic acquisitions.

CEO and co-founder Brendan Noud said the funding provides the financial strength to innovate aggressively and scale rapidly. "We believe the real winner in the AI era won’t just be the fastest technology, but the organisations that best unlock human potential," Noud stated. The financing is structured to avoid equity dilution for existing shareholders.

Agentic Learning Platform redefines corporate training

LearnUpon recently launched its Agentic Learning Platform after a multi-year research and development effort. The platform is designed to tackle structural problems in corporate learning, where administrative burden often forces teams into maintenance mode. It separates human decision-making from machine execution.

Learning leaders set organisational goals and vision. AI agents then handle administrative workflows, real-time content curation, and dynamic skill gap closure. The company claims professionals can spend up to 80% of their daily effort managing learning systems rather than inspiring their people. This human-led approach aims to reduce overhead and allow teams to focus on creating educational modules for onboarding, upskilling, and compliance. Learners can also ask natural-language questions directly on the platform.

Strategic acquisitions and global expansion underpin growth

The new financing supports LearnUpon's aggressive expansion strategy. This includes the recent acquisition of Berlin-based AI course creator Courseau, which has since been rebranded as CreateUpon. The company also opened an Australian headquarters in Sydney earlier this year, just months after the Courseau deal.

LearnUpon's local headcount in Australia has grown by 80% over the last two years. The company now serves more than 100 customers in the Asia-Pacific region, including Healthcare Australia, WorkPac, and Jetpilot. With additional offices in the US, UK, and Serbia, the company serves a diverse clientele from Fortune 100 corporations to scaling small and medium-sized businesses, such as Waymo and Wayve.

Claret Capital brings deep sector expertise

The growth financing comes from London-based independent growth debt fund manager Claret Capital Partners. Since its founding in 2013, the firm has deployed over €1.5 billion across more than 210 companies in technology, life sciences, and impact sectors. It has raised €1.3 billion in total capital, with its Fund IV backed by institutional investors including the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund.

Philip Treacy, Vice President at Claret Capital Partners, noted that LearnUpon has a strong base and is moving quickly to capture AI momentum in corporate learning. The firm's backing provides institutional support for LearnUpon's scaling vision. Founded in 2012 by Brendan Noud and Des Anderson, LearnUpon has spent over a decade building learning management software. Its long-term aim is to become the definitive platform for corporate learning in the agentic era.
