Legora raises $550 million Series E at $8.8 billion valuation
Legal tech firm Legora secured $550 million in a Series E round, valuing the company at $8.8 billion as it expands in North America and Asia-Pacific with new AI tools.

Legora raised $550 million at an $8.8 billion valuation. The figure represents a 57% increase from the $5.6 billion valuation it achieved just six months ago following a $600 million Series D round.
Strategic investor lineup
The Series E investment was led by Atreides Management. It attracted a slate of new financial backers, including Baron Capital, Capital Group, Fidelity, Glade Brook Capital Partners, and JPMorgan. They were joined by a substantial group of existing investors. Accel, Benchmark, Bessemer Venture Partners, General Catalyst, Iconiq, Insight Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, and Sands Capital all participated in the latest round.
Asia-Pacific market expansion
A significant portion of the new capital will fuel expansion in the Asia-Pacific region. Legora entered the Korean market in July and now plans to establish a dedicated organization there to serve domestic law firms and corporate legal teams. The company already maintains offices in Sydney, Singapore, Bengaluru, and Tokyo. It aims to grow its regional workforce to 100 employees by the end of this year. Heather Paterson, vice president of Asia-Pacific and Japan, stated that Legora will form a team dedicated to Korea to expand manpower and invest in product advancement for local legal teams.
Product innovation and market competition
The funding will also accelerate product development and North American growth. A core focus is the company's agentic operating system, known as aOS. This platform is designed for legal experts and AI agents to collaborate on tasks like data research, document review, and writing. Legora will launch several new solutions built on this system. These include Aggatic Intake for classifying in-house legal requests, Horizon Scanning for detecting regulatory changes, and enhanced AI legal research tools. This innovation push positions Legora in direct competition with U.S. rival Harvey to disrupt the legal market. The company's AI technology supports lawyers in researching, reviewing, and drafting legal work. In-house legal teams constituted more than 40% of new customers in the third quarter, and the United States is now Legora's biggest market.
Max Younestland, co-founder and CEO of Legora, said that AI technology is fundamentally changing how law firms and corporate legal organizations work. It allows lawyers to focus on strategic judgment and advice. The company plans to attract more than $500 million in new investments. Legora will form a dedicated team in Korea to expand manpower and invest in product advancement for local legal teams.
