Irish-founded LegalTech startup EstateMin has raised €1 million in pre-Seed funding. The capital will accelerate US customer acquisition and scale go-to-market operations for its AI-powered platform designed for trust and estate law firms. The Brooklyn-based company, founded in 2024, is also expanding its engineering and product teams, having already hired two software engineers and added US business development capacity.

Product functionality and efficiency gains

EstateMin's platform digitizes client intake and organizes estate information. It extracts data from documents and supports form preparation. An integrated AI Case Reviewer flags missing fields or inconsistencies. The system integrates with firms' existing case management systems, including Clio, and becomes operational in about two minutes with minimal configuration.

Firms using the platform report substantial time savings. They save approximately five to seven hours per estate planning matter. For estate administration, the savings range from five to 10 hours per case.

Founding team and expertise

The founding team combines legal experience, machine learning expertise, and a legal tech background. Co-founder and CEO Isabella Hughes, a former international boxer and law graduate, identified the core problem of manually retyping client information. She met machine learning expert Oisín Dolphin at an NDRC founder weekend at Dogpatch Labs. Dolphin, who has over eight years of experience, joined as co-founder after experiencing the probate process following his father's death and identifying its manual inefficiencies. The third co-founder is John Noonan, who brings over four years of experience from legal technology company Clio.

Market traction and integration

EstateMin is already active across all 50 US states. The platform helps manage over €686 million ($770 million) in estate values across 777 matters. The company reports 20% month-on-month revenue growth. James Greenwood of Greenwood Law in Illinois stated that the platform makes it easier for executors and family members to complete intake via the portal, which speeds up matters and reduces paperwork.

The pre-Seed funding round included participation from NDRC, First Port Syndicate, and Enterprise Ireland via its High Potential Start-Up programme. Angel investors Mike Hanrahan, Moira McKenna, and Conor Stanley also participated. CEO Isabella Hughes noted the company started by asking why legal professionals spend time retyping information and now aims to expand its reach across America. The company, originally named Simple Probate, is now allocating its new funding to expand US customer acquisition and engineering teams.
