Reduck has raised $3 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Daphni, with participation from Drysdale Ventures and Galion.exe. The dual-base startup, operating across French and American tech ecosystems, will use the capital to expand its platform that makes AI agents three times faster and cheaper for web tasks.

Platform capabilities and market differentiation

Reduck's core product is the Reduck MCP, a platform built around the Model Context Protocol. It enables AI agents to discover, execute, and create browser-automation scripts without requiring engineering teams to build custom API integrations. This addresses a critical bottleneck. Many essential websites and business tools lack APIs or MCP interfaces for direct agent interaction. Today, agents are forced to rely on slow, costly browser-based interactions, mimicking human clicking and typing.

The browser automation market has grown crowded since the Model Context Protocol standardized tool integration. Database and cloud vendors have adopted MCP support as a feature for agentic workloads. Reduck differentiates by tackling the 'long tail problem' of thousands of uncontrolled websites, each with unique layouts and anti-bot defenses. Its library already contains more than 1,200 ready-to-run automation scripts spanning over 250 websites.

This broad coverage is possible because the Model Context Protocol enables a single integration to work across multiple AI platforms. The approach moves beyond developer-first tools like Selenium and Puppeteer by enabling non-technical users to automate complex web interactions via AI agents.

Founding team and strategic focus

The company was founded by Daniel Huynh (CEO), Louis Abraham (CTO), and Raphaël Millet (COO). The team is driving a mission to solve agent reliability challenges, emphasizing hosted, reusable scripts over fragile, one-off automations. Co-founder Raphaël Millet stated that the software industry is on fire with agents but lacks reliable tools when no API exists. He emphasized that agents need reliable execution too.

Reduck uses its own MCP platform internally to automate company workflows. The team has previously pivoted from an earlier product focused on design-to-specs. The current $3 million pre-seed round is typical for a company with a working product and early traction that is not yet scaled commercially.

Funding has supported team expansion in AI engineering, full-stack development, and infrastructure. Beyond its current library, Reduck is developing AI agents to autonomously create and maintain automation scripts. It is also preparing a developer offering for building custom AI agent systems without APIs and exploring applications in automating knowledge work, like generative engine optimisation. The company plans to improve its core automation technology, significantly expand its script library, and introduce that developer offering.
