NORDEEP Summit 2026 Reveals Deep Tech Plan

The NORDEEP Summit will gather 1,500 founders, investors, and corporate leaders at the Dipoli building in Espoo on September 16 and 17, 2026. The event's main stage program is structured across eight strategic tracks designed to address high-stakes industry bottlenecks through expert panels and startup showcases.

According to the organizers, the agenda skips standard corporate presentations to focus on technical proof and actionable execution. Between sessions, a dedicated Deal Room will facilitate meetings for investment, co-founder discovery, and connections with ecosystem leaders.

Day 1: Global Status and Industrialization

The first day opens with an analysis of the global deep tech status quo, examining capital movement. Track 1 will cover defense and security, featuring perspectives from VC leaders at Sentris Capital and DTCP alongside insights from McKinsey. Track 2 will explore the industrialization of quantum and future compute.

Live pitches from DEFINE startups and a Global Deep Tech Showcase are scheduled between these sessions. The afternoon features Track 3 on Edge Silicon and Track 4 on the Green Transition's "Impact Premium." A signature "What We Fund" session, where specialized investors detail their capital mandates, will also be held.

Day 2: Scaling from Lab to Market

Day 2 begins with a fireside chat on deep tech commercialization featuring Antti Vasara and Reidar Wasenius. Track 5 will outline strategies for de-risking biological commercialization, uniting healthcare VCs and scientific catalysts.

The afternoon accelerates with Track 6 on industrial robotics and kinetic AI, followed by Track 7 on orbital infrastructure and sovereign space intelligence. The day also includes reverse-pitching in a Corporate Innovation Arena and additional investor mandate sessions.

Commercialization and Awards

The program anchors its final afternoon in Track 8: Research to Business (R2B) & Deep Tech Commercialisation. A panel of serial entrepreneurs, quantum founders, and early-stage VCs will share experiences on transforming lab research into global spinouts.

Panelists reportedly include Mikko Möttönen, co-founder of QMill & IQM Quantum Computers; Ion Hauer of Apex Ventures; Mia Brzakovic of Matterwave Ventures; and Lauri Antalainen, President of EstBAN and Founder of Digiwise. The summit will conclude by crowning track winners at the Global Deep Tech Awards, followed by a 5th Anniversary Reception.

Beyond the main stage, a Discovery Zone will offer a dedicated physical stage for functional prototypes, robotics, and hardware. The organizers strongly urge startups to reserve booth space immediately at early-bird prices, as physical floor space is limited.
