FRYTE Mobility raises €3.5 million to scale
Munich startup FRYTE Mobility has secured €3.5 million in Seed funding to expand its software platform that connects eTruck fleets with charging
FRYTE Mobility has closed a €3.5 million Seed funding round, bringing its total raised capital to €5 million. The Munich-based startup builds a software platform designed to coordinate logistics and energy systems for electric truck operations.
The investment was co-led by 4impact capital and Rethink Ventures. Existing investors Revent, F-LOG, accilium ventures, and a group of angel investors also participated. FRYTE states the capital will be used to scale its platform across Europe.
The investor perspective
Pauline Wink, Founding Partner at 4impact capital, highlighted the market shift. "Electric trucks are about to reach total cost of ownership parity with diesel in several European countries, and Europe’s CO2 mandates are further driving the shift toward electric heavy-duty transport," she said. Wink noted this will move the continent from tens of thousands of eTrucks today to hundreds of thousands by 2030.
She argued the missing piece is not more chargers or software, but a layer that makes different systems work together. "Most players are building vertical point solutions. FRYTE is building the horizontal coordination layer," Wink stated, explaining her firm's investment rationale.
The platform's function
Founded in 2025 by Sebastian Wolff and Maximilian Zähringer, FRYTE operates a matchmaking platform. It connects fleets with charging infrastructure, whether private or public, and recommends optimal partners for specific routes. The company coordinates charging times and locations to provide reliable slots for truck operators and predictable utilisation for charge point operators (CPOs).
FRYTE claims its platform ensures mutual commitments and clear contracts, simplifying the charging process. Dispatchers and drivers receive optimised tour suggestions and can make reservations with suitable charging partners.
The company identifies a critical gap in current operations. Transport management systems plan routes without visibility into charging availability. Simultaneously, CPOs run stations with no advance notice of arriving trucks or their energy needs. FRYTE aims to bridge this divide.
Technical approach and traction
FRYTE's open software infrastructure connects logistics platforms to Charge Point Management Systems using industry standards like OCPI. By merging tour planning and energy demands, the platform enables real-time, cross-border advance bookings. This delivers guaranteed slots for fleets and predictable use for CPOs.
Sebastian Wolff, CTO and co-founder, emphasised the importance of open standards. "Charging infrastructure only works at scale if it connects across operators, and that only happens through open standards," he said. "The charging side is live, our next milestone is the transport management domain."
The startup reports it is fully operational across multi-provider sites. It has already processed over 200 end-to-end bookings, covering dispatcher planning, driver execution, and CPO confirmation.
Plans for scaling
The new funding will fuel commercial team expansion and deeper integrations with CPOs and their management systems. FRYTE will also continue developing its reservation functionality. The company cites recent pilot milestones with partners including TRATON Charging Solutions (MAN Charge & Go), FIEGE, Fraport AG, Energie Südbayern, and Dettendorfer Energy.
Maximilian Zähringer, CEO and co-founder, said the product is ready for scale. "This round lets us focus entirely on commercial scaling, bringing more CPOs and eTruck operators across Europe onto the platform," he stated. Zähringer added that the expertise of Rethink Ventures and 4impact capital in logistics and energy will help the company grow faster and reach operators in need of its solution.
