Tickets for Good has raised €4.5 million to fund its international expansion. The UK-based platform provides low-cost tickets for live events to key workers and others facing financial barriers.

The funding round was led by NPIF II, Mercia Equity Finance, managed by Mercia Ventures. It also included Shaping Impact Group (SI3), Finance Yorkshire, Leansquare, and several private investors. The capital will be used to accelerate growth outside the UK and create 10 new skilled jobs in Sheffield over the next three years.

Founder vision and growth

CEO and co-founder Steve Rimmer stated the investment validates the company's social mission. "This investment is a huge vote of confidence in our team, our partners and the impact we're creating," he said. Rimmer and co-founder Neville started the business in 2022 based on a shared love of music and a belief that unused tickets could serve a social good.

The company now has nearly 750,000 verified members globally. It has distributed more than 1.25 million tickets since its founding. The platform operates by having event partners donate surplus tickets. These are then offered to NHS workers, teachers, charity staff, and people receiving Cost of Living support. Members sign up for free and pay only a small transaction fee per ticket.

Investor confidence and sector context

Chris Borrett, Investment Director at Mercia Ventures, explained the rationale behind the investment. He cited strong demand for live experiences alongside rising ticket prices that create access barriers. Borrett said Tickets for Good aligns the interests of fans and venues by helping fill seats and engage audiences. He believes the business "has the potential to become a category-defining platform within the global live entertainment market."

This financing occurs within a broader trend of investment in European event and fan-experience technology. According to the source, EU-Startups' 2026 coverage highlighted several other significant raises in the sector.

Social impact and scaling ambitions

Dave Dirks, Managing Partner at Shaping Impact, praised the company's dual focus. He called Tickets for Good "commercially ambitious, highly scalable and built around a clear social purpose." The company reportedly doubled its revenue in 2025. Its stated goal is to achieve a further five-fold growth within the next three years.

Alex McWhirter, CEO of Finance Yorkshire, noted the company's rapid international reach. He confirmed Finance Yorkshire's support for the overseas expansion plans and welcomed the new jobs for the Yorkshire region. The company expanded into the United States in 2023 after joining the Comcast SportsTech accelerator in St. Louis. It also now operates in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.

High-profile ambassadors for the company include singer Robbie Williams, former footballer Edwin van der Sar, and music entrepreneur Hans Brouwer. The company aims to connect many more people with live events they might otherwise miss.
