Robutler Raises $400K to Build Software's YouTube

Robutler has raised $400,000 from US-based venture capital firm ZAS Ventures. This marks the first institutional investment for the company, which is building a public platform for software applications.

Robutler's platform hosts a shared library of professional-grade applications. These cover documents, presentations, design, video, engineering, whiteboards, project management, music, and games. Every app is free to use and features real-time collaboration.

The Platform Model

Makers publish their applications on the platform. Others can then remix and improve these apps. When an app is used, the original maker and those who contributed remixes earn a share of the revenue. Founder and CEO Volodymyr Seliuchenko described the vision. "Think of Robutler as the YouTube of software," he said. "It is a shift from renting software to a community building it together."

The Underlying Infrastructure

The investment specifically targets the infrastructure layer beneath the apps. This layer, called the Web of Agents, allows applications and AI agents to discover each other and collaborate using natural language. The platform also connects to external AI assistants and coding agents like Claude and Codex.

The company has filed three patent applications. These cover agent discovery, trust ranking, and the app-usage attribution system that enables maker payouts. Robutler has also published its TrustFlow research on arXiv and built two open protocols: Agent OAuth and UAMP. These protocols handle identity and messaging between agents across different organizations.

Investor Perspective

Andrew Zinchuk, Founder and Managing Partner of ZAS Ventures, explained the firm's rationale. "Most AI companies are building a better tool. Volodymyr is building the place tools come from," he said. Zinchuk stated the investment was driven by the platform's foundational layer for discovery, trust, and payments between agents. He called it "the piece the whole agentic internet needs."

Zinchuk highlighted the founder's background as a key factor. "Volodymyr is a Ukrainian founder shipping category-defining infrastructure out of Silicon Valley, which is exactly the kind of company we exist to back."
