Hiasynth raises angel funding for synthetic European

AI startup Hiasynth has raised an angel funding round led by venture capital firm Further Than Capital. The company has built a synthetic model of Europe's entire population, designed to be queried by AI for market analysis.
According to the company, any business can now analyze any consumer market across Europe using this tool. The model contains half a billion synthetic personas spread across 37 countries. Each persona is defined by more than 600 attributes that vary together as they do in real life, covering details like income, housing, consumption habits, and personal values.
Building a continent in code
Founder Emma Agering explained the foundational approach. "Where and how you live define your lifestyle as much as who you are as an individual." she said. The model is entirely synthetic but designed for plausibility, aiming to reflect the complex reality of European life.
This development targets a historical challenge for European businesses. The continent has never functioned as a single market, with each country maintaining distinct languages, consumption patterns, and associated research costs. Hiasynth argues this fragmentation has often pushed companies to expand to the United States before considering a neighboring European country.
Democratizing market intelligence
Agering claims the product will radically lower the barrier to entry for detailed market research. "Market intelligence has always been a luxury service, priced for enterprise. That price is about to collapse," she stated. The core proposition is that by condensing Europe into one model instead of requiring 37 separate research projects, even a ten-person company can gain insights with the same ease as analyzing its local street.
The funding round was led by Further Than Capital and included three additional angel investors. Further Than Capital's portfolio includes early investments in companies like Lovable and Blackwall. The new capital will fund Hiasynth's product launch and development ahead of a planned seed funding round.
Per Björklund of Further Than Capital commented on the investment thesis. "We back founders before ideas, and Emma has built startups before." he said.
Launch and integration plans
Hiasynth is scheduled to launch in September 2026 at the Bits & Pretzels event in Munich, Germany. The model will be made available through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that allows AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT to query external tools and data sources directly.
Stefan Lindeberg of Further Than Capital, who is also a co-founder of Creandum, highlighted the product's potential impact on AI reliability. He noted that large language models are adept at generating plausible answers about any market but poor at verifying their truth. "Hiasynth replaces the guess with a population the model can actually reason over." Lindeberg said.
The launch represents a bet on synthetic data as a tool for business decision-making, aiming to provide a scalable, queryable foundation for understanding European consumer dynamics.
