Impress has signed a €40 million venture debt loan with the European Investment Bank. The Spanish digital orthodontics network will use the funding to scale its AI-driven platform across its network of more than 110 clinics worldwide.

Founded in 2019 by Vladimir Lupenko, Diliara Lupenko, and Khaled Kasem, Impress operates in 10 countries across Europe and the United States. The company has treated over 500,000 patients globally, building the database that powers its proprietary AI engine.

AI-powered growth and efficiency at scale

Impress leverages its technology to dramatically simplify orthodontic care. The platform enables 80 percent fewer in-person visits and multiplies clinic efficiency by ten times. Its AI-assisted system includes a 3D intraoral scanner, a mobile app for patient tracking, and the industry’s first autonomous smile simulator, which recreates treatment outcomes in three seconds.

This operational leverage supports aggressive financial growth. Impress posted 32 percent revenue growth in the last year, reaching €103 million. The company expects to achieve €145 million in revenue by 2026, representing a further 40 percent increase.

Strategic expansion into Northern Europe

The new capital will fuel a targeted expansion into key Northern European markets. Impress plans to deepen its presence in Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, where it has operated since 2023. This builds on an existing foundation of 22 clinics in Spain and a broader network across ten countries.

The expansion is part of a broader scaling strategy following the company's acquisition of DrSmile, which contributed to over €110 million in funding announced in 2024. The €40 million EIB loan forms part of approximately €161.7 million in total financing announced in 2026 across the European digital dentistry and AI healthcare sector.

Validation from European institutions

The European Investment Bank's backing is seen as a significant seal of guarantee within Europe’s HealthTech ecosystem. Vladimir Lupenko, co-founder and CEO of Impress, stated that this validation strengthens the company's position and affirms its vision for AI-driven dental care.

María Romano, Head of the EIB Group Office in Spain, highlighted the bank’s commitment to supporting innovative, data-driven European firms in the HealthTech space. This institutional support reflects growing confidence in the scalability of digital healthcare models.

Impress now plans to expand into Northern Europe, focusing on Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK.
