Lupin Dental has closed a €15 million Series A financing round. The Montpellier-based robotics startup announced the funding on August 26, 2026.

The investment was led by Fynveur with a €10 million commitment. Existing shareholders and private investors also participated. A loan from Bpifrance complemented the equity raise. Fynveur and its advisor, Invus, will partner with the company for strategic guidance. Invus will also join Lupin Dental's board.

Co-founders Dr. Galip Gürel and Dr. Stefen Koubi stated the funding marks a new chapter. "It reflects our investors’ confidence in our vision and enables us to accelerate our mission to transform dental care through innovation," they said.

Funding for Robotic Dental Precision

Founded in 2019, Lupin Dental develops robotic solutions for the dental field. The company aims to enhance procedural precision and improve clinical workflows. Its focus is bringing supervised automation to complex treatments like veneers.

The core product is the Lupin Robotic System. It is a supervised automated platform for minimally invasive tooth preparation for aesthetic veneers. The system uses software to design a patient's final smile and generate a treatment plan. A robotic workstation then executes that plan to accurately prepare the tooth for the final prosthesis.

Regulatory Progress and Leadership

The company has achieved key regulatory milestones. In June 2026, it received UKCA certification, authorising commercialisation in Great Britain. This builds on prior clearance obtained in India. The system is not currently approved for clinical use in the USA or European Union.

Earlier in 2026, Lupin Dental strengthened its board leadership. It appointed Michel Mayer as chairman. Mayer is the former Chairman and CEO of Freescale Semiconductor. Philippe Veran also joined the board. Veran is the founder and CEO of Biotech Dental, a leading French dental technology manufacturer.

Path to Market Adoption

With the new capital, Lupin Dental plans to expand its partnerships. The goal is to support widespread adoption of its technology. Partnerships will target leading academic institutions, medical centers, and dental professionals. This includes individual dentists and Dental Service Organisations (DSOs).

The company's journey from a 2019 founding to a €15 million Series A round underscores investor belief in its robotic approach to dentistry. Its focus remains on a single, certified system for a specific complex procedure.
