Talky Labs, a Spanish startup, has raised €1.5 million in a pre-Seed funding round. The company, founded in 2025 by Jorge Beamonte and Maximilian Letón, is building AI technology to automate accounting and financial operations. The investment round, closed in September 2026, was backed by venture capital firms HelloWorld, Silence VC, Motive Force, and Aera Capital. It also included angel investors Sebastián Gunningham, Paul Golbaum, and Javier Morenés.

How the technology works

Talky's AI does not rely on rigid, predefined rules. Instead, it learns from a company's historical accounting records and the expertise of its financial teams. Co-founder and CEO Jorge Beamonte explains that every company has its own unwritten way of doing accounting. Talky learns those specific criteria, applies them to difficult cases, and turns them into structured information that supports better decision-making.

The system incorporates new expertise whenever it consults an accountant to resolve a query. Using this information, Talky adapts its operations to each organization's unique requirements. This allows it to handle unusual cases that would otherwise demand more time and manual review. Once a transaction is resolved, Talky records the result in the enterprise resource planning system and retains a traceable record of the decision. Each transaction is linked to the information that justifies it and the criteria applied, simplifying review and audit processes.

The goal is to turn operational knowledge into a company asset, rather than having it depend exclusively on specific individuals. The platform can read invoices, suggest accounting entries, review tax information, and reconcile bank transactions. Ultimately, Talky aims to build a system capable of executing financial processes, explaining its decisions, and providing management teams with traceable information.

Scale and impact

Despite having a team of just nine employees, Talky has already processed a significant volume of client work. Company data shows it has handled more than 1.8 million documents and over €2 billion in client expenditure. The AI operates with a high degree of autonomy.

MetricPerformance
Documents processed autonomously86% to 93%
Total documents processedOver 1.8 million
Total client expenditure processedOver €2 billion

The startup aims to help businesses automate financial processes that traditionally depend on accountants' experience and internal knowledge. In addition to core automation, the technology can identify deviations from established criteria, detect potential supplier issues, and improve transaction traceability. This gives financial management more complete, reliable, and up-to-date information for overseeing operations.

Next steps

The founders have identified recruitment as a central priority, with plans to grow the team while continuing to develop the platform alongside existing customers. Talky looks to expand its presence among large enterprises and financial services providers that manage high volumes of transactions. The company's goal is to reserve human intervention for decisions that genuinely require judgment, rather than devoting resources to repetitive tasks.
